Botanical styled shoot at The Highden Estate

Choosing a theme or style for your wedding can often be tricky.  Don’t know where to begin or just wanting something modern, beautiful and simple? Well look no further!  One of 2018’s biggest trends that looks to be rolling right through into 2019 is the use of stunning botanicals. Simple, clean white and green colour palettes that are so understated but absolutely beautiful – what’s not to love!!

I had the absolute pleasure of working with a great team earlier this year to put together this simply gorgeous styled photo shoot which shows you really how to do the botanical theme well.

This botanical themed photo shoot brings together the natural colours I love in a great boho style. The greens and golds sit perfectly within the walled garden venue at The Highden Estate, and the overall botanical theme accentuates the gorgeous garden surroundings. I used a pallet of green and ivory with accents of gold which were complimented by the variety of natural plants and foliage used to dress the marquee by Rhubarb & Bramley, using different heights and textures to make it a bit more interesting. This was all perfectly complimented by the ivory and gold tableware (supplied by Place Settings), the props and accessories (supplied by Hire Your Day) and a delicious menu from The Gourmet Chef.

The stunning bridal gown from Maggie Sottero was accessorised with bespoke hair pieces from Victoria Millisime, with the brides hair kept loose and wavy and natural make up by Rosina Green to complete the boho look.  The stationery suite from Emerald Paper Design was made bespoke for this concept, using parchment paper and accents of gold ink calligraphy in keeping with the theme.

All of this was perfectly captured by photographer Neli Prahova so scroll on down and let the botanical inspiration take over…
